Well, when you put the same cpu's in laptops as desktops, I do expect the same speed.

Unless I had a mac pro or something....

Increased heat, a blessing in disguise:
3.) Warms up 'clocked' laptops so they can be used to make melted cheese sandwiches without stopping working / viewing pawn.
4.) Warms up sensitive bits if genuinely used as a laptop so thankfully contributes to sterility of the younger generation (although not as effective as castration caused by the over-heated battery exploding).
